We are Willie & Sarah - two creatives who moved from a suburban town in central Scotland, to the Isle of Skye in the Scottish Highlands to pursue our careers in art, music and content creation.

Along with our dogs, Jack Spaniels and Nori, we document our experiences living in a 200 year old cottage on a Hebridean island in our YouTube channel, ‘Living The Skye Life’.

Sarah is originally from Newcastle, in the North East of England, and is a watercolour artist.

She studied Fine Art in Manchester, before starting a career in heritage properties and eventually taking a leap to pack up and move to Scotland to work in a castle.

After an ankle operation that led to her picking up the paintbrush again after many years, Sarah quit her job to paint full time.

She finds her inspiration out in nature - especially some of the smaller details that people might not necessarily notice. Everything she paints was found and photographed here in Scotland.

Willie is from Fife in central Scotland and is a multi-instrumentalist musician, songwriter and self-taught jewellery maker.

He is a published songwriter and his music has featured on several recording artists’ albums, movies and TV shows.

When he isn’t making music, Willie makes jewellery from locally found stone and sterling silver.

Jack Spaniels is a ten year old Sprocker Spaniel (a cross between Springer & Cocker).

He enjoys snuffling, eating sausages, snoozing on the sofa, picking up sticks, but most of all - going to THE BEACH!

Nori is a two year old Springer Spaniel and the typical second child. Don’t let his angel face fool you - he is the naughtiest wee dog there ever was!

He also enjoys snuffling and sausages, but is equally fond of fireside naps, playing tug of war and rampaging through the woods.
